Christoffer Joergensen (1978) was born in Denmark but has been living and working for most of his life in Switzerland. During 2002-2004 he graduated with an MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art in London. The concept of ‘space’ and ‘landscape’ is fundamental in his works. He uses digital photography as raw material, which he alienates and transforms with a combination of computer programs and craft techniques. For him, digital / virtual space is interior space, while landscapes are exterior spaces. Based on this idea, interesting aesthetic fields of tension emerge, which the viewer experiences in his works. Tactility and sensuality are essential features of his oeuvre.
